The Ridge is located within the integrated township of KL East development in Taman Melati, Kuala Lumpur. Taman Melati is situated between Gombak, Klang Gates, Wangsa Maju, and Taman Melawati. The demographics of Kuala Lumpur are made up of Malays (45.9%), Chinese (43.2%), Indians (10.3%), and others (0.6%).

Located over 160 acres of green land, it is also located across the Klang Gates Quartz Ridge, the longest quartz formation in the world which is estimated to be over 200 million years old. Nature and animal lovers would be delighted to know that the area is home to five endemic plant species as well as the serow, a rare animal. Connectivity

The Ridge has access to highways such as Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE), Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Highway (SUKE), and the Karak Highway. The Gombak Integrated Transport Terminal (GITT) is a walking distance from The Ridge KL East. Covered walkways to the GITT will ensure the comfort of pedestrians and provide reassurance without having to worry about the weather. The GITT serves as a connecting hub for the Gombak LRT Station and a transit point for the East Coast Rail Link (ERL). The Taman Melati, Wangsa Maju and Setiawangsa stations can be accessed from the Gombak LRT station as these stations are on the same line. The GITT will also house bus and taxi connections.

Apart from these, there will be a shuttle bus service to Genting Highland that departs from GITT. There are regular buses departing for Genting Highland making it very convenient for a weekend escape to Genting Highland from The Ridge KL East.

Convenience

In terms of medical aid, the Columbia Asia Hospital is located 4.3km from the Ridge while the KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital is located 9.6km away. The Ridge KL East is also surrounded by 10 schools, colleges, and universities. The KYS KL East International School is located within the KL East development, while the Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC) is located 2.1km away and the Fairview International School, an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, is located 5.2km away. For parents looking for a preschool or a kindergarten, the UIAM Danau Kota Preschool and Kindergarten is located 4km away.

Residents of The Ridge would also have direct access to the KL East mall, a boutique lifestyle mall with renowned retail brands, eateries as well as a supermarket. It will also house an ice-skating rink, indoor rock-climbing facility, cinema, and a grocery store. The KL East Mall, with more than 200 outlets is the first wholly-owned retail mall by Sime Darby Property. This would certainly be a major advantage for residents looking to stay in during the weekends instead of braving the traffic to other hot spots.
