Upperville is located at Taman Melawati, an affluent town in Ulu Klang, Selangor. But Taman Melawati is actually located in the Gombak constituency of Selangor and administered by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ). Historically, Taman Melawati was a rubber plantation in the 1970s. Previous owners include the Hawthornton Estate and Loke Yew in the early 1900s.
