The Era Duta North with a total gross development value (GDV) of RM 2.5 billion, comprises of 6 blocks on a land area of 14.8 acres (644688 square metres). Sales of the first phase of the residential portion were very encouraging with an impressive 70% take-up rate post-launch on The first phase included two residential towers with a potential GDV of RM600mil while the GDV of the retail portion is RM700mil. Its developer, JKG Land Berhad, claims that the GDV for the first phase was RM656 million. They’re targeting for the project to be completed in the year 2021.

The area of Segambut has always been the centre of attention when it comes to developmental projects. This is due to the removal of pre-existing houses in the sub-district to make way for projects alike. The relocation of the residents inflicted as a form of compensation has always been the subject of prolonged debate. Although the area is becoming home to some of the biggest projects in the nation, the whole area lacks the sophistication to it. Segambut still owns buildings which are either abandoned or in dire need of improvement. It makes the whole environment seem mundane and dull due to the presence of these buildings.

Another problem that’s quite obvious in the area is the lack of high scaled shopping malls. One has to go all the way to the heart of KL or to other sub-districts to get the entertainment needed.
